Seraing’s short-lived Strap are a bit of a mystery. They’ve had only one 7” who’s now testifying their existence. The nucleus of this band was probably two guys named Bonnazelli G and Girardini R as they also wrote both songs.

The single was released in 1973 through the big RCA Victor record company. The sleeve is mentioning that Strap was the winner of the “Jemelle festival”, so probably this recording contract was the prise they won.
Both “Are You Ready Lazy People” and “Love is Dead” are mid tempo songs quite similar to Black Sabbath with some slight Steppenwolf / Ten Years After feel at times.
For some reason or another, two of those Strap-members don’t even look in the camera-lens of their only known photograph, even when this music is nothing to be ashamed about…
